A native to the Athens area, Braxton holds a degree in clarinet performance from the University of Georgia. He is an accomplished woodwind doubler and specializes in single reeds. While at UGA he also studied piano and organ.

He performed with the Wind Symphony, Wind Ensemble, Steel Drum Band and took part in multiple new compositions. 

 

Braxton performs with the ensemble Quintet Athens and groups playing music from jazz to polka. In addition to teaching clarinet and piano, he is experienced in group instruction and ensemble playing.
