Iain Cooke is a musician, teacher, songwriter, and performer based in Athens, GA who currently works as an instructor at the Full Moon School of Music in Watkinsville, GA. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with a Music Business Certificate at the University of Georgia. After graduating in May of 2023, he plans to continue to teach and perform in Athens and eventually pursue a graduate degree in Recording Arts. He is the recipient of the Cora Miller Music Scholarship, Zell Miller Scholarship, and was a finalist for the Governors Honors Program in 2018 on trombone.
Though Iain’s degree path includes studying the trombone, he also plays the bass guitar, acoustic/electric guitar, ukulele, piano, drums, and sings. In addition to playing in the UGA Trombone Choir and Wind Ensemble, Iain also has an active live performing career with his bands Swing Theory, Sun Trick Pony, Marie Marie, and Lazulee.
