
Karrie Frey
Oboe Instructor
Karrie Frey is a musician and Science teacher residing in Greensboro, Georgia.
​
A central New York native, she double majored in Nuclear Medicine and Oboe performance at the University of Buffalo.
She has spent many weekends in the pit band for high school and college artists enjoying musicals such as Les Mis, Beauty and the Beast, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, to name a few. Performing in several college community orchestras and bands provided incredible experiences, such as accompanying “Doc” Severinson, as well as performing concerts in Austria and Germany.
Upon relocation to the beautiful state of Georgia, she very much enjoys being a member of the Classic City Band and North Georgia Winds, an alternate in the Toccoa Symphony, as well as an accompanist to several local choirs such as Athens Chorale, Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church, and Lake Country Chorus.
