Kevin Schoeller is currently in the final stages of his doctoral work at the University of Georgia, where he studies trombone with Dr. Josh Bynum and conducting with Dr. Jaclyn Hartenberger. At UGA, he is a teaching assistant for the band department, having served as the trombone TA for the Redcoat Marching Band and as assistant conductor for athletic bands on occasion. Kevin is also an active performer and educator throughout the Atlanta area, playing with the Georgia Philharmonic and the Georgia Brass Band among others.
Prior to beginning his doctoral studies, Kevin was a public school educator in metro Atlanta, working as the assistant band director of Mabry Middle School in Cobb County and as head director of Lakeside Middle School in Forsyth County.
Kevin also holds a Masters Degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where he served as a teaching assistant with the Badger Marching Band and additional athletic bands. Undergraduate degrees in music education and trombone performance are held from the University of Georgia.
